No ads here

HungKings shows no advertising. There are no banners, no sponsored games, no
affiliate links, and no tracking pixels. We are not planning to add any.

This is easy for us to promise because we are not trying to make money from
this. The site runs on one rented server and the software was written by
volunteers.

But other chess sites do

If you play chess elsewhere, an ad blocker is worth having — for speed and for
privacy as much as for the ads themselves. Any of these work:

• uBlock Origin — the usual recommendation, free
  and open source
• Brave — a browser with blocking built in

On a phone, Firefox and Brave both support blockers; Safari supports content
blockers from the App Store.

Ads that are not ads

If you ever see something on this site that looks like an advertisement, it
is not ours. That would mean either a browser extension is injecting it, or your
network is. Please tell us if it happens — it is a useful warning
sign for everyone.
