Almost all of this was built by someone else. Lichess has
been developed and given away for free since 2010, and it is the reason a site
like this one can exist at all. If you value what you find here, the honest
thing to do is support them — they carry the cost
of the work we inherited.

Thank you in particular to Thibault Duplessis, who started lila, and to the
hundreds of contributors and translators who have worked on it since.
